AutoRuns is not installed by default, but available as a free download from Microsoft. There are a couple of ways to do this, but Microsoft made it easy by creating a little software application called AutoRuns. If you’d like to speed up your Windows 7 PC, there are a number of things you can do, one of which is to manage which applications startup when your computer does. You’d be amazed at how many little programs have startup applications, each eating up a bit of your system’s memory until things start getting really sluggish. After several months and many software programs installed, a Windows 7 machine has a tendency to start getting a little slower.
